Metal Detection Depth of Up to 10 Feet
Pulse Nova – Delta + provides extra efficient ground scanning, detection of lost jewelry (such as rings, charms, and earrings), natural gold (like gold nuggets), as well as militaria (including old weapons and ammunition) at depths of up to 3 meters or 10 feet.
The Pulse Nova can reach tremendous depths thanks to the applied pulse induction method. Pulse induction (PI) offers key advantages over other measurement techniques to enable these detection depths:
- The PI working principles of the detector enable a particularly high transmission power to detect targets that are at greater depths
- The depth capabilities and size of the search coil of the detectors are directly proportional: the larger the search coil, the deeper the detection is.
The detection at the deepest possible location of an object depends on several factors:
- The larger the object, the deeper underground it could be detected
- The longer the object has been underground, the better it can be detected (Halo Effect)
- The larger the search coil, the deeper objects can be detected
- The object’s conductivity, shape, and position underground influence the accuracy of its detection
- The soil composition and layers affect the measurement depth of the metal detector
How the PI Metal Detector Works
Pulse Induction technology operates on a time-controlled oscillator principle, employing alternating current to create a magnetic field within the detector’s search coil. This magnetic field penetrates the ground, inducing an eddy current that interacts with metallic objects buried underground. The Pulse Nova detects the electrical conductivity changes caused by these metallic objects, identifying them as “disturbances” or anomalies, which are then signaled through acoustic alerts.

The Pulse Nova – Delta+ comes with three search coils: the Delta 18, Delta 38, and the Frame Coil Xi104, each designed to optimize your metal detecting experience:
- Delta 18 Search Coil: This standard coil features a smaller circumference, generating concentrated magnetic fields ideal for pinpointing small targets. It’s perfect for locating gold nuggets, tiny jewelry pieces, and other small items in shallow areas that larger coils might overlook.
- Delta 38 Search Coil: With its larger size, the Delta 38 coil excels in gold prospecting, treasure hunting, military searches, and explosive ordnance disposal. Its waterproof design allows it to perform reliably in shallow waters such as streams, rivers, lakes, and even saltwater environments.
- Frame Coil Xi104: The Frame Coil Xi104 offers a distinct advantage with its extensive coverage area of over 1m², eliminating the need for a telescopic rod. This coil is designed to scan larger magnetic fields, making it ideal for detecting larger targets and achieving deeper search depths.

The Pulse Nova metal detector features a simple, intuitive control panel with two rotary knobs for easy adjustment of sensitivity and volume. Designed for effortless use, this control panel eliminates the need for a display, making it language-independent and easy to operate. Users receive real-time feedback through an acoustic signal, which can be heard either through the loudspeaker or Bluetooth headphones, notifying them instantly when metal objects are detected.
Telescopic Rod
The Pulse Nova metal detector comes equipped with a telescopic rod that includes an adjustable armrest, providing superior comfort during extended use. This ergonomic design allows users to maintain a balanced, relaxed grip while operating the device. Attaching the control unit and flashlight to the rod is quick and simple, while the desired search coil (excluding the Frame Coil Xi104) is easily secured at the lower end.
Pinpointing Feature
After detecting a metal object with Pulse Nova, accurate pinpointing is crucial. Slowly sweep the detector over the object to identify its exact position. By gradually narrowing your search area and moving the detector from different angles, you can determine the anomaly’s precise location. The device’s intense audio signal provides clear feedback, indicating both the size and the exact position of the object.
