Expanding Detector Expertise: Vourvon Electronica Visits OKM

March 01, 2024

Following OKM CEO Stephan Grund’s November 2023 visit to Vourvon Electronica in the Philippines during a Southeast Asia tour, Mr. Alan and his son, Mr. Pau,l agreed to visit OKM’s Altenburg headquarters.

In February 2024, they toured the impressive OKM Pyramid and detector production facility, witnessing the high-quality standards and staff dedication that underscore OKM’s “Made in Germany” excellence, before discussing strategy with the sales team over lunch.

Comprehensive Training With Different Software and OKM Detectors

Accompanied by OKM trainer Frank Casser, whose 15 years of expertise delivered invaluable insights, Mr. Alan and Mr. Paul immersed themselves in hands-on training with OKM’s advanced detectors and software solutions. Frank demonstrated optimal use of the OKM eXp 6000, highlighting its unique orientation sensors for superior scanning results, and provided in-depth guidance on the OKM Delta Ranger, especially its Thermo Scan feature for detecting voids and caves—perfect for Philippine terrain.

Training on the Test Field

Vourvon Electronica then had the opportunity to put their newly acquired know-how into practice on the test fields at OKM’s base. With great interest and commitment, they explored the functionality and performance of OKM detectors, including the OKM eXp 6000 and OKM Gepard GPR 3D.

Different surfaces and structures were carefully selected to test the equipment’s versatility and effectiveness under real-world conditions. These hands-on exercises allowed Vourvon Electronica to deepen their understanding of the technology and gain valuable insight into the application of the detectors. Alan and Paul were very excited to share this expertise with their customers in the Philippines.
